Hippeas is expanding its portfolio of organic chickpea snacks.
The brand announced the launch of its new tortilla chip varieties, which are USDA Certified Organic, vegan and certified gluten-free, the company said.
"We are excited about the launch of Hippeas tortilla chips. They're made with the nutritional profiles our consumers demand; organic, gluten-free, plant-based, and they taste great," Joe Serventi, Hippeas CEO said. "This product expansion signifies the growth of Hippeas as a snacking platform and lifestyle brand that our fans know and love. We are extremely fortunate to be recognized as a brand that is pioneering the next generation of better-for-you snacking and working closely with retailers such as Whole Foods Market to develop innovation that both retailers and consumers are looking for," he continued.
In addition, the chips contain 3 g of protein and 3 g of fiber per 1-oz. servings and come in three flavors — straight up sea salt, rockin’ ranch and jalapeño vegan cheddar.
Those interested in purchasing Hippeas’ tortilla chips can head to their nearest Whole Foods Market, where the product will be available exclusively.
"We are thrilled to be the exclusive launch partner for Hippeas' new line of vegan tortilla chips," David Woods, the senior category merchant for grocery at Whole Foods Market, said. "Plant-based and vegan items are continuing to drive growth across a wide array of categories, and we are excited to broaden our selection with this new, salty snack option that's offered nationwide."
