Impossible Foods is catering to those who are looking for more plant-based meal options.
The company announced that its Impossible Sausage Made from Plants is expanding its availability by debuting at various retailers in a ground sausage format.
Available in savory and spicy options, the savory option is seasoned with herbaceous and peppery notes, while the spicy variety contains chili and cayenne flavors.
Made without the use of animal hormones or antibiotics, the products contain 7 g of protein per 56 g serving, and also have niacin, vitamin B12 and zinc, the company said.
“At Impossible Foods, we’re intent upon delivering on what consumers demand from meat, but without the compromise inherent in the use of animals for food production,” said Impossible Foods’ president, Dennis Woodside. “With our latest Impossible Sausage product for retail, we’re doubling down in our efforts to reach every home cook looking to satiate their cravings for sausage. We are excited to see what consumers cook up.”
Impossible Foods’ Sausage Made from Plants can be found at such retailers as Kroger, Ralphs, King Soopers, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Albertsons, Wegmans, Stop & Shop, Hannaford, Giant Martin’s, Giant Food, Sprouts Farmers Market and Heinen’s among others.
