Kashi is leaving out added sugar when it comes to its newest cereal launch.
The brand is rolling out its new Simply Raisin biscuit cereal, which contains 0 g of added sugar, the Solana Beach, Calif.-based company said.
Featuring Certified Transitional wheat, this new breakfast staple features sun-ripened California raisins and a touch of cinnamon, as well as 7 g of fiber and 7 g of protein per serving.
“Nowadays, people are prioritizing better-for-you foods that have less added sugar,” Melanie Hall, director of brand marketing at Kashi, said. “We wanted to provide cereal lovers with a 0 g added sugar cereal that doesn’t compromise on flavor or nutritional value. We will continue to create foods that cater to people’s dietary needs, and we're so excited to bring this whole wheat, fruit-sweetened cereal to shelves for all to enjoy.”
Kashi Simply Raisin cereal is available at Walmart and other major grocery stores at the suggested retail price of $4.39.
