Mauch, Gielen will lead HDA board for another year

AmerisourceBergen's Robert Mauch will serve another term as chairman of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, with Lousiana Wholesale Drug's Chad Gielen continuing in his role as vice chairman.

The Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s board leadership is kicking off another term. 

Robert Mauch, group president of AmerisourceBergen will serve as chairman of the Arlington, Va.-based trade group’s board of directors for his second term, with Chad Gielen, president and CEO of Louisiana Wholesale Drug, serving another term as vice chairman.  

“HDA members are essential to healthcare delivery, and they have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure crucial medications, supplies and equipment have efficiently, reliably and securely reached their destinations every day,” Mauch said. “It’s an honor to continue serving as the HDA board chairman, and I look forward to working with Chip, Chad and members as we navigate challenges and new opportunities to drive value for manufacturers, providers, patients and the healthcare system overall.”

Gielen said, “I am proud to continue to serve as vice chairman during a pivotal time for this industry and the association,” said Chad Gielen. “As a small, regional wholesaler, HDA is an important resource for my organization, and I look forward to continuing to shape this association to the benefit of our supply chain colleagues, public-sector partners and those in the broader healthcare industry.”
