NCPA opens registration for virtual convention
The National Community Pharmacists Association has opened registration for its 2020 Annual Convention. The Alexandria, Va.-based trade group representing independent pharmacies is highlighting this year’s virtual convention as particularly accessible for prospective attendees.
“This will be the most convenient, most affordable NCPA Convention we’ve ever had,” said Doug Hoey, NCPA CEO. “If you were unable to attend in previous years because of the cost, or the convenience, or the distance, or the time away from your business, this is absolutely the convention for you. It’s a can’t-miss event with no excuse to miss it.”
The event, which is slated to take place Oct. 18-19, will feature several Business Education Sessions, a virtual expo hall for product and services discovery, the annual Student Business Plan Competition, and a spotlight session that will feature a conversation with Hoey. The virtual expo hall is open 24 hours, with some time set out in the evening of both days for appointments with company representatives.
“That’s the advantage of a virtual event,” Hoey said. “It’s an imperative this year, but it’s also a great opportunity for pharmacists or pharmacy students who may never have been to an NCPA event to experience it for the first time. And for the pharmacy owners who attend regularly, this is a great chance to involve every member of their team.”
