Nestlé is looking to help consumers with various dietary preferences, find some easy meal solutions.
New to the Solon, Ohio-based company’s portfolio is Life Cuisine, a line of ready-to-eat meals that come in four preferences — low carb lifestyle, high protein, meatless and gluten-free.
Made with protein, vegetables and whole grains, recipes are available in such options as layered bowls, cauliflower-crust pizzas and sous vide egg bites, the company said.
“Eating well is no longer ‘one-size-fits-all,’ so our offerings can't be either,” John Carmichael, president of Nestlé Foods Division, said. “As needs evolve and expand, our team of culinary experts and nutritionists works in lockstep to deliver contemporary meals made for these emerging food lifestyles, from gluten-free to meatless and beyond.”
Recipes part of the Life Cuisine family include:
- Meatlovers Cauliflower Pizza Bowl, which contains 13 g of net carbs, 20 g of protein, and features Italian sausage, chicken, beef and cauliflower florets layered with mozzarella cheese and tomato pizza sauce;

In addition, Nestlé will be adding new Lean Cuisine recipes and improve its current portfolio with renovated and calorie-conscious recipes and updated packaging.
“From the start, it has been our mission to offer recipes that fit people's varying needs and nutrition preferences,” Suzy Ponikvar, the marketing innovation manager at Nestlé said. “We remain committed to doing so and will constantly ensure that our offerings empower confidence in mealtime choices.”
