Anicetti leaves Delhaize

BRUSSELS, Belgium Delhaize Group EVP and Delhaize America Shared Services CEO Rick Anicetti has left the company, the supermarket operator said Friday.

The company has named Delhaize America SVP accounting and finance Carol Herndon chief administrative officer, reporting to president and CEO Pierre-Olivier Beckers.

“I want to thank Rick for his significant contributions to the company, both as CEO of Food Lion, LLC and as CEO of Delhaize America Shared Services, where he helped to lay strong foundations for Delhaize America’s further development,” Beckers said. “Carol will bring a wealth of experience and the strong leadership credentials she has earned during her long-standing and successful career with the company to the newly created position of chief administrative officer of Delhaize America.”

The company did not provide further details about the reasons for Anicetti’s departure or his future plans.
