AP: Doctor-patient relationship changing with rise of telehealth, retail clinics

NEW YORK — In a recent article, the Associated Press is looking into the ways that the relationship between patients and their physicians is changing as a result of the proliferation of both telehealth apps and retail clinics.


From doctors’ perspectives, the changing landscape has lead to primary care’s role being pushed aside, as patients find healthcare much more accessible than it was in the past. The article also notes that 450,000 people will use the Internet to see a primary care physician.
