A&P teams up with ESI Medical to implement flu shot program

MONTVALE, N.J. A&P's family of supermarkets is gearing up for the cold and flu season with a new flu vaccine program that enables shoppers to obtain free and discounted seasonal and H1N1 (when available) flu vaccinations.

A&P has teamed up with ESI Medical for the implementation of a serious of multi-state flu vaccination clinics that will run now through Dec. 23. In total, A&P will host more than 600 flu vaccination clinics, offering seasonal and H1N1 (when available) flu vaccinations in 250 stores throughout six states. In addition, the retailer has announced a "buy one get one free" flu shot offer. Through this new campaign, customers who use their Club Card through Oct. 29 and spend $100 on health and beauty care products (excluding baby items) will receive a Wellness Reward Certificate good for one free flu vaccination upon the purchase of accompanying flu shot at $30. Any A&P shopper receiving a flu shot at an in-store clinic will receive a coupon book with savings on hundreds of cough, cold/flu, grocery, non-foods and health items.
