AT&T will provide connectivity backbone for fall debut of WellNest's wearable

2/29/2016

LAS VEGAS - AT&T will provide connectivity for the WellNest wearable from Elements of Genius later this year, allowing users to manage and communicate daily medical information with families, caregivers and providers.

"AT&T's connectivity services allow connected health solutions, such as the WellNest wearable, to give caregivers, patients and their loved ones the opportunity to change the conversations we have in between visits and build a better-rounded picture of patient health," stated Chris Penrose, SVP Internet of Things, AT&T.

"With AT&T's connectivity services, we'll help provide true and meaningful connections between family members, their parents and those in their 'circle of care,'" added Jonathan Ramaci, CEO, Elements of Genius. "As the population increases in age and the family unit is geographically separated, we find an incredible opportunity to use technology in a way that creates connections, reiterates the importance of care and helps us stay connected to our loved ones. People want to ensure that their loved one's golden years are truly connected years."

The WellNest platform and wearable will enable features such as medication adherence management and advanced location-based services, the company stated. The WellNest wearable is expected to be available in September 2016.
