Bartell Drugs opens two new CareClinic locations

SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs this week opened two new CareClinic retail clinics — one in Sammamish, Wash. and another in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood. 

“Bartell Drugs guests have told us they want the ability to get care and treatment as well as everyday necessities in one place,” Bartell Drugs COO Ken Mahoney said. “That’s why we’re so excited to open two more CareClinic locations.”

With the new additions, Bartell Drugs has five CareClinic locations in its stores, which are staffed by Group Health professionals. Visits cost $75 and many can be billed to patients’ insurance plans. The company said that in its CareClinic locations’ first year over 1,200 vaccines and seen patients for many common ailments. 

“Patients come to CareClinics for convenience,” Group Health’s medical director of innovation and development Dr. Wellesley Chapman said. “We’ve proven that CareClinics live up to the promise of quickly diagnosing and treating common ailments.”
