Bayer launches mobile app for hemophilia patients

6/28/2010

WAYNE, N.J. Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals has launched a free mobile application for patients with hemophilia, the drug maker said Monday.

Bayer launched FactorTrack, a customizable application for hemophilia A patients designed to make it easier for them to track and record hemophilia factor VIII infusions. The application captures dosing history, frequency and locations of bleeds, and allows patients to customize their infusion schedule based on prescribed regimens, view infusion histories and receive alerts.

“FactorTrack is the latest innovation from Bayer that illustrates our ongoing commitment to helping enhance the lives of people who live with bleeding disorders,” Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals VP and general manager for hematology Paul Bedard said. “We worked alongside the hemophilia community, physical therapists and physical educators to develop the application in response to the needs of people with hemophilia A.”
