Unilever’s V debuts vegan personal care line


Unilever launched Love Beauty and Planet, a new vegan personal care brand, featuring shampoos, conditioners, body washes and hair and body treatments. 


 


The products have mild cleansers and scents infused with ethically sourced essential oil or absolute, a highly aromatic oily mixture, like French heirloom lavender, Moroccan mimosa flower or Bulgarian rose.


 


The company said the products contain organic coconut oil, are not tested on animals and have no sulfate cleansers or parabens. Additionally, the bottles are made from 100%-recycled plastic and are recyclable. 


 


The Body Washes are available in Tropical Hydration, Daily Detox, Majestic Moisture, Relaxing Rain, Radical Refresher and Bountiful Moisture varieties. The brand also has a Bountiful Moisture Body Polish and Radical Refresher Showerless Cleansing Mist. 


 


Derma E launches masks


Derma E is bringing a panoply of masks to the beauty aisle. 


 


The Derma E Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask uses activated charcoal to lift dirt, oil and environmental toxins, the company said. The dual-action mask is designed to move from a deep pore cleansing treatment to gentle exfoliation for fresh, glowing skin, according to Derma E. The mask also contains apricot seeds, marine algae and bladderwrack. 


 


The brand’s Firming Magnetic Clay Mask is an exfoliating clay mask with natural magnetic properties that Derma E said is meant to help  draw out impurities and provide a fresh and cooling sensation. It contains Adzuki beans, spearmint and the supplement DMAE. 


 


Derma E’s Vitamin C Brightening Clay Mask is meant to revitalize the skin and reveals a brighter more youthful-looking complexion, the company said. 


 


Bioré extends baking soda line


Kao USA’s Bioré brand is introducing its Bioré Baking Soda Acne Cleansing Foam. Formulated for combination skin, the cleanser gently removes surface dirt and oil to achieve a deep clean without over-cleansing or drying out skin. 


 


The product’s baking soda cleansing agents deep clean pores, while salicylic acid treats and prevents breakouts, the company said. Bioré Baking Soda Acne Cleansing Foam has a suggested retail price of $6.49. 


 


The new product joins the brand’s previously launched Baking Soda Acne Scrub, which the company said uses spherical beads to remove dead skin cells from pores, and salicylic acid to treat acne and prevent breakouts. Bioré also has two charcoal products — an Acne Scrub and Clearing Cleanser. It uses natural charcoal to absorb oil, and salicylic acid to treat and prevent acne.


 


Yes To expands Its tomatoes and charcoal line


Yes To is building out its line of Yes To Tomatoes charcoal products with masks and cleansing products. Among several additions is the 10-pack Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask Beauty Box, which carries a suggested retail price of $16.99.


 


Additionally, the Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mask Bar + Charcoal Brush brings consumers a mask in solid bar form. The formula becomes creamy when activated with water and the charcoal-infused brush for a double dose of charcoal. A black mesh bag for storage and travel is included for charcoal bar and brush, which has a suggested retail price of $16.99. 


 


The line also has grown to include the Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mask Stick that the company said is aimed at helping treat and prevent blemishes. It has a suggested retail price of $15.99.
