TAMPA, Fla. — Benzer Pharmacy announced this week a partnership with nurse registry Visiting Angels of Southeast Florida on an effort aimed at improving medication adherence among patients.
The partnership makes Benzer Visiting Angels’ exclusive pharmacy, with clients receiving complimentary
Remind-a-Cap, which reminds patients when to take their next medication dose. Clients will also receive individual care at their local pharmacy and free delivery and shipping of medications, as well as coupons and discounts when available.
“At Benzer, we treat our customers like family, and our goal is to provide them with the finest and most accessible healthcare solutions,” Benzer Pharmacy president Alpesh Patel said. “We believe that our landmark partnership with Visiting Angels to offer Remind-a-Cap, along with a host of other benefits will improve the health of our patients, and that this will become a comprehensive model of integrated and sustained patient care for the rest of the country in a time of a dramatically changing healthcare landscape.”
Benzer Pharmacy said it would be rolling out Remind-a-Cap to its 30 locations in Florida, with plans to make it available nationwide.
“Remind-a-Cap is proud to have brought together two premier organizations in healthcare,” said Matt Ramoundos, EVP, director of operations at Remind-a-Cap. “Both Benzer and Visiting Angels are fighting on the front lines to help patients get the best possible care available. Compliance is the number one challenge facing patient care in the U.S., and we know that by offering Remind-a-Cap to thousands of patients in Florida, we will be a valuable piece to the puzzle.”
