Cardinal Health donates funds, supplies to aid Fort McMurray Fire victims

5/17/2016

VAUGHAN, Ontario, Canada — Cardinal Health and the Cardinal Health Foundation are looking to help those affected by the Fort McMurray Fire in Alberta. The two organizations announced that they would be donating $85,000 in cash and health care products to victims of the wildfire.

The Cardinal Health Foundation has pledged $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross, and the foundation and Cardinal Health Canada will match any funds donated by Cardinal Health employees — which have already surpassed $13,000, according to the company. Cardinal Health is also donating such health care products as exam gloves, bandages, blankets and body wash.

“Our thoughts are with those affected by the wildfires in Fort McMurray,” Cardinal Health Canada president David said. “This situation hits close to home for many of our Cardinal Health associates. We hope this token of our support will help the residents of Fort McMurray find solace during this difficult time.”
