Cardinal Health, Target and Walmart named 'Top Companies for Executive Women'
DUBLIN, Ohio - Cardinal Health, Target and Walmart were all selected as part of the 2016 National Association for Female Executives Top Companies for Executive Women, which recognizes American corporations that have moved women into top executive positions and created a culture that fosters the careers of talented women.
"I am happy to report that female representation in senior management positions continues to inch up at the NAFE Top Companies," stated Betty Spence, NAFE president. "Though progress of women into senior positions has slowed nationally, the 2016 NAFE Top Companies are leading the way in moving women in power positions where they have the influence to innovate and boost profits."
More than half of the companies on the 2016 NAFE Top 60 have at least four women on their boards of directors.
"We are very excited about the continued progress we are making toward gender partnership and leadership equality," commented Mike Kaufmann, chief financial officer at Cardinal Health and executive sponsor of the Women's Initiative Network employee resource group. "We strive to maintain an inclusive culture where employees can bring 100% of themselves to work every day. We are humbled and honored to receive this recognition."
