Costco reports third-quarter, year-to-date financial results

ISSAQUAH, Wash. Costco Wholesale Corp. reported third-quarter net sales of $17.39 billion, a 12% increase over third quarter 2009’s $15.48 billion, according to financial results released last week.

Net sales for the year to date were $52.66 billion, compared with $48 billion in 2009.

Profits for the quarter were $306 million, compared with $210 million in third quarter 2009, while year-to-date profits were $871 million, compared with $712 million in 2009.
