Costco sees boost in U.S. same-store sales during January

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Costco posted a sales gain for the month of January.



Net sales totaled $8.16 billion, an increase of 2% from $7.99 billion during the similar period last year. In the United States, comparable sales increased 2%.



For the 22 weeks ended Feb. 1, the company reported net sales of $49.01 billion, an increase of 6% from $46.32 billion during the similar period last year. Comparable sales increased 5% in the United States.
