ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Costco Wholesale Wednesday evening reported net sales of $9.8 billion for the month of August, the four weeks ended Aug. 27, an increase of 10% as compared to the similar period last year.
Comparable sales in the U.S. market were up 7.4% for the four-week period.
In addition, comparable e-commerce sales across all global markets for the four-week retail period were up 26%.
For the first 52 weeks of its 53-week fiscal year ended Aug. 27, Costco reported net sales of $123.5 billion, an increase of 6.4%. Same-store sales for that period increased by 4.3%.
