CVS Caremark marks ninth year as sponsor of Easter Seals' Walk with Me event
CHICAGO — CVS Caremark has announced that it will be the National Premier Sponsor of Easter Seals Walk With Me in 2014 — its ninth straight year.
Demonstrating its continued commitment to children with disabilities and their families through the All Kids Can Program, CVS Caremark and thousands of its colleagues nationwide have raised nearly $10 million through Walk With Me to support local Easter Seals services throughout the years.
Walk With Me is Easter Seals' national signature fundraising event that raises millions of dollars annually to support local services, which change the lives of children and adults living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities.
"We are so proud of our long-standing partnership with Easter Seals through our CVS Caremark All Kids Can Program. Together, we have helped thousands of children on their path to better health," said Eileen Howard Boone, SVP, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy, CVS Caremark. "We are equally proud of our CVS Caremark colleagues who continue, through Walk With Me, to volunteer and raise money to ensure local Easter Seals services are available to children and families in communities in which our colleagues live and work nationwide."
Since its introduction in 2005, CVS Caremark All Kids Can has committed more than $60 million in support of nonprofit organizations that provide innovative programs and services as part of its commitment to making life easier for children of all abilities. Through All Kids Can, CVS Caremark, its private foundation The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust and 200,000 colleagues nationwide have helped make a positive impact in the lives of nearly 20 million people by providing children of all abilities with opportunities for play and physical activities, access to healthcare services, education and resources focused on helping children of all abilities on their path to better health.
