BENTONVILLE, Ark. – According to a recent study, sharp drops in temperature often bring with them an increased risk of heart issues. So to help people assess their cardiovascular health this winter, Sam’s Club's 617 pharmacies nationwide will host free heart health screenings for both members and non-members on Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., while supplies last.
“Maintaining your health throughout the year can be a challenge, especially during times of increased risk,” stated Jill Turner-Mitchael, SVP Sam’s Club Consumables & Health and Wellness. “With this in mind and in recognition of Heart Month, we’re proud to offer this free screening to both our members and the public as a simple way to be more proactive about their health.”
In addition to free health screenings, Sam’s Club Pharmacies also provide other savings and preventive care to each community they serve, such as year-round immunizations for children and adults. Eligible Sam’s Club Plus members can also save even more on prescriptions, including discounts on select generic prescriptions, some of which are available free of charge or at a discounted cost of $4 or $10 for a 30-day supply.
Beyond these Pharmacy offerings, Sam’s Club members can also find a variety of healthy solutions in other areas of the club, including fresh organic foods, vitamins and supplements, oral care products and wearable health devices.
