Diplomat CEO receives award from Ernst & Young

SWARTZ CREEK, Mich. Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy on Friday announced Diplomat president and CEO Phil Hagerman was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Michigan and northwest Ohio region.

Hagerman received the award on June 10 at an awards ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dearborn, Mich. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year is one of the world's most prestigious business awards for entrepreneurs, and honors outstanding entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. As the Michigan/northwest Ohio winner in the retail and services category, Hagerman now is a candidate for the National Entrepreneur of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual Ernst & Young awards event in November 2010 in Palm Springs, Calif.

The news comes soon after Diplomat announced it would move its headquarters to Flint’s Great Lakes Technology Centre from nearby Flint Township as part of a large expansion of the company.
