Lebhar-Friedman is seeking an Audience Development Manager for its publications.
JOB SUMMARY:
Works with the publishing and expositions staff to determine and maintain the optimum database size and demographic makeup for assigned properties while meeting all budgetary requirements. Maximizes efficiencies for audience development through print, digital, e-newsletters, iPad and web delivery. Executes plans to increase site traffic and return visitors on websites and works to increase e-mail counts/open rates and coverage for current audience. Increases overall presence of social media for brands by increasing likes, fans and website traffic; provides lead generation options to the business units for applicable products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates with publishers and/or marketing services to create and maintain an audience profile that provides optimal market coverage within budget requirements; requires knowledge of the competitive products.
Advises options available to meet or beat competition in marketing opportunities, with focus on social media opportunities across multiple platforms. Works with key emedia staff in each group for maximization of social media efforts.
Through multi-channel efforts, drives users to web sites, digital and print products. Continually analyzes metrics to maximize response, open and click-through rates while seeking to increase opt-ins and user engagement. Utilizes strategic data to maximize audience engagement and response.
Takes initiative, contributes new ideas to the department and monitors social media brand results as needed.
Helps develop promotion materials that represent each property. Maintains a monthly report on social media activity.
Regarding print circulation, works with the fulfillment staff to insure that quality standards are maintained for all subscriptions and lists that are processed. Ensures that subscriptions are processed and maintained in accordance with audit bureau requirements. Work will be completed on a timely basis and mailing labels qualify for all postal discounts available. Prepares annual press-run, subscription revenue, promotion and fulfillment budgets for assigned print and emedia properties. Submits monthly budget forecasts.
Coordinates and prepares special reports/projects.
Attends assigned trade shows/strategic planning sessions and attends educational programs to keep current with postal/audit bureau regulations and new marketing trends (social media, lead generation, website maximization).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field; at least three years experience in audience development, e-media promotion, marketing, or related position.Must have a strong combination of creative and analytical skills. Responsible for the maximization of social media across multiple platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube etc.) and across all products to increase exposure and subscriptions and reduce audience development costs. Must have intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Outlook), experience with web analytics software, email deployment systems and social media platforms.
OTHER KEY SUCCESS ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as good organizational skills. Knowledge of audit bureau requirements and regulations is preferred.
