E-hydrate adds Sofia Vergara as equity partner

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. — Protein and hydration product company E-hydrate announced Wednesday that it had added actress Sofia Vergara as one of the company’s equity partners. 

“Sofia is one of the world's leading women entrepreneurs and is a visionary professional whose presence extends well beyond that of a typical celebrity,” E-hydrate co-founder Dan Adler said. “We are honored that Sofia shares our enthusiasm for the company's line of products and believes in the brand's vision. Vergara said that she is “excited about E-hydrate's momentum and commitment to making a range of great tasting and nutritious natural products for the whole family.” E-hydrate makes natural products such as its Protein On-the-Go Ready to Mix pouches, to which consumers add water and then drink directly from the pouch. The company sells its products at Target and donates 5% of its profits to community organizations.
