Endo completes HealthTronics acquisition

CHADDS FORD, Pa. Endo Pharmaceuticals has completed its acquisition of a company that provides urological products and services, Endo said Thursday.

The drug maker announced the acquisition of HealthTronics, based in Austin, Texas, at the beginning of the month.

“The HealthTronics acquisition marks an important step forward in Endo’s strategy to diversify beyond pharmaceuticals and solidifies Endo’s commitment to the field of urology,” Endo president and CEO Dave Holveck said. “Urology practies, the patients they serve and payers will all benefit from the integration of Endo and HealthTronics through our combined expertise, products and services.”
