First of 5 MetroHealth walk-in clinics opens in Discount Drug Mart
CLEVELAND — Discount Drug Mart has opened the first of five MetroHealth walk-in clinics at its Parma Heights store, the company announced earlier this month.
“Discount Drug Mart and MetroHealth share the same commitment and passion to serving the community and expanding access to health services within it,” Discount Drug Mart COO Doug Boodjeh said. “We very much look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with MetroHealth, and working together to serve the people of Cuyahoga County and beyond.”
The clinic will be staffed by a nurse practitioner, who can assess a person’s basic medical needs, administer vaccinations and prescribe medications. Evening and weekend hours will be offered and walk-in appointments are accepted. Most major insurance plans will also be accepted.
MetroHealth will lease the office space within existing Discount Drug Mart stores. The initial plan is to open five offices in locations throughout the county.
