Former House speaker Paul Ryan to address NACDS annual meeting

Attendees of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Annual Meeting will get to hear from a big name in politics. Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan will speak during the Tuesday, April 30, Business Program at the conference, which will be held April 27-30, in Palm Beach, Fla.

Ryan was elected as the 54th Speaker of the House in 2015, and served in that role until January. He was the youngest individual to hold this leadership position in 140 years.

As chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Ryan worked to simplify the tax code, protect healthcare choices, advance free trade and strengthen the economy.

Per a prior announcement, presidential historian, public speaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin also will speak at the 2019 NACDS Annual Meeting.
