Former WAG CEO honored in NYC

NEW YORK —A VIP list of guests appeared at the National Center for Learning Disabilities’ 33rd annual benefit dinner at New York’s Tribeca Rooftop on April 28. Former Walgreens CEO Charles “Cork” Walgreen III accepted the Spirit of Achievement Award, recognizing the chain’s efforts to hire disabled workers. Other guests included CNN’s Paula Zahn, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, political consultant James Carville and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.
