MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Fred’s, fresh off its Q3 earnings report, announced its Black Friday deals that start Thanksgiving Day and go through Saturday, Nov. 28, and encompass holiday essentials gift options in home decor, small appliances, apparel and toys. Some deals will even extend through December.
“We’re expanding our Black Friday sale and are continuing it through Saturday with low prices and great deals,” Fred’s chief merchandising and marketing officer Bryan Pugh said. “We offer a wide variety of holiday gifts and decorations, and we’re looking forward to providing customers an alternative to large lines, big parking lots and one-day deals.”
All Fred’s stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, and sales on Thanksgiving Day include 40% off all holiday outdoor decor, $30 off a VTech stereo speaker and a Polaroid 7 inch tablet for $49.95.
During Black Friday and Saturday, shoppers will be able to take advantage of 50% off artificial Christmas trees, 25% off shatterproof ornaments, 25% off all toys, among other discounts. Essentials for entertaining will also be on sale, with 25% off Sunbeam electric blanket, 20% off flannel sheet sets and 25% of children’s licensed blankets.
When it comes to gifts, there will be products for all ages, with licensed “Star Wars” and “Drozen” toys, as well as “Sesame Street” and other Disney toys for children, and restaurant, retail shopping, gaming and music download gift cards. Fred’s is also offering an expanded selection of electronics, including Roku streaming sticks, tablets and Bluetooth speakers and headphones. Bath sets, fragrance sets and cosmetic and beauty sets will also be on offer.
For food preparation, last-minute Thanksgiving shoppers can pick up pie crust, filling, sugar, flour, Stove Top stuffing and chicken broth to make sure the meal isn’t missing anything. Stores will also have a selection of small appliances, ceramic cookware, bakeware and food storage options.
Finally, Fred’s Pharmacies are looking to help keep off colds, cough and the flu, offering walk-in flu shots and OTC offerings. Pharmacists will also be on-hand to help patients enroll in Fred’s Time My Meds medication synchronization service or discuss 90-day prescriptions.
“We have expanded our health and beauty departments with hundreds of new products this year in an effort to help patients keep their medicine cabinets stocked this holiday season,” Pugh said.
