Garcia reappointed to state pharmacy board
MIAMI EVP pharmacy operations for the largest Hispanic-owned pharmacy chain in the United States was reappointed to the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
Albert Garcia of Navarro Discount Pharmacies will serve a four-year term, Navarro said Friday. Garcia was originially appointed to the Florida Board of Pharmacy -- an independent, state health regulatory agency that regulates the practice of pharmacy and protects the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Florida -- in 2004 by former Gov. Jeb Bush.
As EVP pharmacy operations, Garcia oversees several hundred employees and is responsible for the overall operations of Navarro’s 27 pharmacy locations in Miami-Dade County. As a 30-year pharmacy veteran, Garcia also is a member of the Florida Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmaceutical Association.
“Albert Garcia is a third generation pharmacist that has brought a wealth of knowledge to our pharmacy team,” said Steve Kaczynski, Navarro Discount Pharmacies CEO. “As a locally owned-company, we are very proud of his accomplishments and his 33-year successful career in the pharmaceutical industry.”
