Giant Food opens 50th Peapod Pick-up location

LANDOVER, Md. — Giant Food is set to host a celebration in honor of the opening of its 50th Peapod Pick-up location across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Deleware at the York Road Plaza Giant Food in Baltimore on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to noon.  

To celebrate the milestone, Giant will hold a ribbon-cutting event with appearances from former Baltimore Ravens player Matt Stover, Ravens cheerleaders, and the team’s mascot, Poe. There also will be Roma sausages on the grill, and the first 50 customers to use the Peapod Pick-up service at the location on opening day will receive a complimentary bouquet of flowers.

In honor of the occasion, Giant Food will present $2,500 worth of gift cards to the Maryland Food Bank.
