GMDC names Weis executive to chairman post
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Global Market Development Center on Thursday announced the appointment of Steve Davis, director of center store, GM/HBC and grocery nonfoods of Weis Markets, as the new chairman of its board of directors.
Davis also serves as the chairman of the GMDC executive committee.

Newly appointed members of the 2016 GMDC executive committee include:
Steve Davis, director of center store; GM/HBC and grocery nonfoods, Weis Markets - GMDC chairman of the board;
Tim Buskey, VP consumer health, AmerisourceBergen - GMDC vice chairman of the board; and
Patty Fishman, VP HBC/GM merchandising , Supervalu - MDC board secretary/treasurer.
Newly appointed members of the 2016 GMDC board of directors include:
Karen Bakewell, director GM/HBC, SpartanNash - GMDC education leadership council co-chairperson;
Mike Bloom, president and COO, Fred's Super Dollar - GMDC board liaise to the education leadership council;
Peter Fahrenkopf, VP stationary and household sales, ShurTech Brands - GM board co-chairperson;
Dan Figus, VP field sales organization, Johnson & Johnson - GMDC HBW board co-chairperson; and
Dave Jones, VP industry initiatives, Kellogg USA – GMDC membership advisory board co-chairperson.
