H-E-B donates $1 million to diabetes program at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley

HARLINGEN, Texas — H-E-B donated $1 million to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to be used in the school's diabetes research program, according to a report from the Valley Morning Star published Thursday. 

 

The announcement was made Thursday morning at the Regional Academic Health Center, according to the report.

 

UT-RGV announced in October that it will bring a 22-person research team to staff its South Texas Diabetes and Obesity Institute here.
