WAUKESHA, Wis. — Hamacher Resource Group has developed new web content taxonomy to provide users of HRG’s data tools the opportunity to develop a more intuitive experience for their end-users that will ease product-search challenges.
HRG’s Fine Line system is used by members of the industry supply chain, as well as associations, to organize product information on websites and in ordering systems, catalogs and marketing materials. The system classifies health, beauty and wellness products into categories, subcategories and segments. Categories are organized by two-, three- and four-digit codes by HRG’s product research and analysis team to ease the merchandising of products and allow for greater, more refined reporting capabilities.
In conjunction with the fine lines, the newly released web content classification tiers organize products from HBW categories, as well as grocery items and GM products, into nine broad groupings that will streamline product organization. In addition, the tiers can be used to analyze sales data to determine macro-trends of consumer buying behavior leading to better space utilization, and allow for end-users to enjoy accurate search results for products they may seek in more than one category.
