Healthcare finance company CareCredit now accepted at Rite Aid

1/13/2016

COSTA MESA, Calif. - CareCredit, a leading provider of healthcare financing, on Wednesday announced its health, wellness and personal care credit card is now accepted for prescriptions and general merchandise purchases in all of Rite Aid’s nearly 4,600 stores in the United States.

In addition to prescription and general merchandise purchases, CareCredit can also be used for out-of-pocket expenses at RediClinics, located inside select Rite Aid locations, and for in-store health screenings and clinical services such as vaccinations.

The agreement with Rite Aid expands CareCredit acceptance beyond its traditional healthcare provider network to a total of more than 195,000 healthcare providers and health-focused retailers nationally.

“We continually talk with our cardholder community about how we can make CareCredit more convenient and valuable in helping consumers prepare for and manage their health and wellness expenses,” said Dave Fasoli, EVP and CEO, CareCredit. “Broadening acceptance to Rite Aid stores is the latest step in our ongoing efforts to provide more ways for cardholders to use CareCredit for their pharmaceutical, health and personal care needs.”

CareCredit’s more than 10 million cardholders now have added flexibility to manage both unexpected and everyday health and personal care expenses. Acceptance of CareCredit also provides Rite Aid customers with more payment options to help meet their healthcare needs.
