KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hostess Brands on Monday announced that Chocodile Twinkies will be reintroduced this week and will appear on store shelves across the country for the first time. Distribution of the chocolate-covered treat had been limited to the West Coast, but quickly developed a following, according to Hostess.
“In the past Chocodiles seemed to be shrouded as much in mystery as in chocolate, inspiring an obsession among fans that was truly the stuff of legends,” said William Toler, president and CEO of Hostess Brands. “Now, fanatics will once again be able to satisfy their cravings and a new generation will be able to experience the magic for the first time.”
Hostess also is asking fans to submit Twinkies-inspired recipes that could be included in the new edition of "The Twinkies Cookbook." Fans can visit HostessCakes.com to submit their recipe before the July 31 deadline.
