HRG wins Communicator Award for 2016 holiday video

WAUKESHA, Wis. — Hamacher Resource Group this week announced that it had received a Communicator Award of Distinction for its 2016 holiday video in the branded content business-to-business category.

HRG’s art director Bruce Boulieu conceived of the video concept, which featured HRG president Dawn Vogelsang chasing Santa throughout the office. Each department came up with their own theme, all of which fit into the storyline organically. Each team was in charge of decorating their work area and assembling their costumes for their segment of the video.

HRG said that the email sharing the video, hosted on its website, had the highest open and click-through rate of any of its holiday greetings, and the video had the highest viewing statistics.

“The holiday videos provide not only an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for our clients, partners, and colleagues, but it also allows us to show the essence of what makes our company special, and that is the culture and incredibly talented and fun group of people here,” Boulieu said.

The Communicator Awards receive more than 6,000 entries worldwide and are judged and overseen by the Academy of interactive and Visual Arts — a more than 600-member body of professionals from the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the changing nature of traditional and interactive media.
