WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee recently added two new EVPs that will also sit on the company’s board of directors. Donna Tweeten has been named the company’s EVP and chief marketing officer, and Jeremy Gosch has been named to the position of EVP and chief merchandising officer. The two will be named permanent board members at the Hy-Vee stockholders’ meeting in December, and Tweeten will be added to the board’s executive committee.
Gosch began working at Hy-Vee as a part-time clerk in Coralville in 1995, rising through the ranks to become the store director of the Eldora Hy-Vee in 2000. In 2012, he was named VP operations for the northeast district, and was named assistant VP of general merchandise and health and beauty care in 2014. Last year, he became SVP merchandising, with chief merchandising officer being added to his title in early 2016.
“Jeremy has been very successful in every area he has been asked to lead. I am very excited to see the new energy and great leadership Jeremy will bring to this very important position,” Hy-Vee chairman, president and CEO Randy Edeker said. “He has already brought great drive and a can-do spirit with keen insight to complex ideas.”
Tweeten joined the company in 2006 at assistant VP communications, and in 2011 was selected to be VP brand image. In 2013 she became VP marketing and was named chief marketing officer in 2013.
“Now is the right time to elevate the leader with the insight, skills and creativity to help guide Hy-Vee forward in our marketing and brand development,” Edeker said. “I know Donna will be a great example of an insightful, strong leader for years to come.”
