Jean Coutu announces that it will sell jewelry to benefit breast cancer foundation

LONGUEUIL, Quebec The Jean Coutu Group announced Friday that it will sell Passion for Beauty jewelry—two bracelets, including one made with pink stones, and four key rings—to help benefit the the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Breast cancer remains the leading cause of death among women aged 35 and 55,” stated Johanne Meloche, vice president of cosmetics at Jean Coutu. “We believe it is essential to contribute to the progress of medical research and increase the survival rate of women with breast cancer. We are very happy to offer our support to this cause which we take particularly to heart.”

All profits will be donated to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation (profits originating from Quebec stores) and to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (profits from Ontario and New Brunswick stores).
