Jiff adds higi, others to enterprise health benefits platform
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Jiff, whose enterprise health benefits platform allows employers to encourage healthy habits among employees, announced Thursday that it was expanding its platform to include several digital health companies, including Garmin, Glooko and higi. The company said that the partnerships would allow employers to tackle such issues as chronic disease management, fitness tracking, biometric screening and diet planning
“More and more health apps, tools, and services are entering the market every day, and employers want to take advantage of their cost-saving potential. But it's incredibly difficult to manage them all, and if employees don't use them, the value is lost,” Jiff CEO Derek Newell said. “That's why so many innovative health products and services are joining Jiff's platform. Jiff allows employers to harness the power of health apps, tools and services to cultivate a healthier workforce and reduce healthcare costs.”
The new partner aimed at chronic disease management is Glooko, which users with diabetes and their care team can use to gain insight from data they get from their diabetes devices. Three of the new partners are aimed at allowing users to track their activity and health — Garmin, My Dietitian and higi. Garmin offers users real-time data; My Dietitian proves each user a registered dietitian; and higi allows members to check their health stats at higi stations — which are available at almost 10,000 locations — then track and monitor their health online or through the higi app.
“In partnering with Jiff, we see a key opportunity to support innovative employers and accelerate our shared mission to incentivize healthy habits among their employees in a way that drives behavior change,” higi CEO Jeff Bennett said. “This mission is not easy to achieve, but, in partnering with Jiff, we believe strongly that we can make a difference for employers focused on improving the health of their employees.”
