Kinney Drugs announces prototype store to open in Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. Kinney Drugs is planning to open a new prototype store in the city of Syracuse, the upstate New York retailer announced Monday.
“We are excited to bring this new innovative store to the city of Syracuse as a continuum to serve the residents in Onondaga County with outstanding patient care and customer service,” Kinney chairman and chief executive officer Craig Painter said. “As an employee-owned company, we look forward to providing a level of service that is second to none to this community.”
The new prototype features a broader range of pharmacy-related health services and a wider assortment of health care products and will include a pharmacy drive-through and free prescription delivery.
In addition to housing a dedicated pharmacist consultation area for patients, Kinney will provide free life vials—vials that contain a person’s medical and prescription history to provide important information to emergency first responders in the event of a medical emergency.
The newly constructed Kinney Drugs is being planned at the intersection of Fabius and West Streets in the city of Syracuse and will be the first of Kinney’s newest 12,700 square foot prototype stores in the area.
