Kinney Drugs to offer flu vaccinations to customers
GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. A regional retail pharmacy chain in northern New York and Vermont will offer vaccination clinics at all of its stores beginning later this month.
Kinney Drugs announced Monday that it would offer seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccination clinics to customers beginning Sept. 28, administered by registered nurses working for Maxim Health Systems.
“Kinney cares about the health of its patients and the residents of the communities it serves,” Kinney president and COO Bridget-Ann Hart said in a statement. “We want to do our part to help people stay healthy during flu season by offering convenient locations and multiple clinics to receive their vaccination.”
Stores will display products and educational materials related to seasonal flu, Kinney said, and pharmacists will counsel patients on seasonal flu precautions and updates on the A (H1N1) swine flu.
