Kmart will stay open 42 hours straight for Thanksgiving, Black Friday
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears Holiding Co. joined the growing list of retailers with extended shopping hours on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
Sears and Kmart stores will open on Thanksgiving Day, with Sears opening at its earliest time ever: 6 p.m., two hours earlier than last year. Kmart will open its doors for 42 hours straight, from 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving to midnight on Black Friday.
In other holiday moves, Sears will offer “Black Friday” deals on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Select items — including apparel, appliances, tools and footwear — will be available at Black Friday pricing, plus the additional five-to-15% Sears Family and Friends event discount. Additional Black Friday and Sears Family and Friends discount items will be available online.
Kmart also is bringing back its No Money Down Layaway program for the holidays.
