KT Health now partnered with seven U.S. Olympic national governing bodies

3/23/2016

LINDON, Utah - KT Health on Tuesday announced official partnerships with six U.S. Olympic national governing bodies, providing support and pain relief to athletes as they prepare for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Partnering with USA Cycling, USA Gymnastics, USA Track & Field, USA Triathlon, USA Rugby and USA Wrestling, KT Tape now has deals in place with seven total NGBs, including its partnership with U.S. Soccer that began in 2014. KT Tape will provide product and support for athletes, coaches and trainers at premier events and competitions, including U.S. Olympic Team Trials. In addition, as the official kinesiology tape licensee of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, KT Tape will provide support through Rio 2016 and PyeongChang 2018 Games.

"As the official licensee of the United States Olympic Committee, it was important for our brand to also establish partnerships across a number of national governing bodies in order to support athletes training to compete at the highest level," stated Greg Venner, CEO KT Health. "Our products are designed to be used by every athlete, no matter the sport, enabling them to train longer so that they can finish stronger and we are proud to align our brand with some of the best in the world."

KT Tape also announced new additions to its family of athletes. Three-time Olympian Meb Keflezighi bound for his 4th Games in the Marathon at Rio, three-time Paralympic medalist in swimming Tucker Dupree and gymnastics gold medalist from the famed "Magnificent Seven" of the 1996 Olympic Games Kerri Strug will join three-time Olympic gold medalist beach volleyball player Kerri Walsh Jennings and Olympic gold medalist pro basketball player James Harden as athlete ambassadors for the brand.

"KT Tape has been a staple to my training regimen since the 2008 Beijing Olympics after my rotator cuff surgery," said Kerri Walsh Jennings. "As I, as well as the rest of Team USA, train to get to that podium, I couldn't be more excited to be supported by and work with KT Tape."

In addition to its NGB and athlete partnerships, KT Tape has added four new products to its portfolio, including:

  • KT Tape PRO EXTREME is made of KT Tape's exclusive synthetic material, engineered for maximum durability with the strongest adhesive for the ultimate adhesion. PRO EXTREME can be worn for 4-7 days at a time and is specially designed to provide effective support during strenuous activity through extreme conditions including moisture, high heat and high humidity;

  • KT Recovery+ Recovery Patch is designed to reduce swelling and inflammation from muscle injuries and its accompanying pain. KT Recovery+ patches work by microscopically lifting the skin away from the muscle and fascia below which decompresses the area. This allows for improved circulation in the affected area while also allowing faster removal of lymphatic fluid buildup caused by the injury;

  • KT FLEX is engineered to provide more effective comfortable support for weak or injured knees. KT FLEX is for athletes, fitness enthusiasts or those recovering from injuries who want extra support for knee joints without the bulk and restriction of a stabilizing sleeve; and

  • KT Recovery+ Ice/Heat Compression Therapy System is an interchangeable ice and heat pack. The adjustable design provides ice/heat therapy to a wide variety of targeted body areas.

KT Tape will support its USOC licensee and NGB partners through a variety of media channel activations over the course of 2016 leading up to the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. KT Tape products are available in all USOC training centers and can be purchased at partner retailers including Wal-Mart, DICK'S Sporting Goods and Sports Authority.
