L'Oréal Canada names chief communications officer

9/2/2014

MONTREAL — L'Oréal Canada has announced the appointment of Nadia Petrolito as chief communications officer.

Petrolito joined L'Oréal Canada in July 2006 as a legal counsel and was, soon after, appointed general counsel, a position she maintains today in addition to her new role as CCO. Furthermore, since 2009, Petrolito is the ethics officer for L'Oréal Canada.

An important mandate of her new role as CCO will be the development of the new Corporate Social Responsibilities Program, which is a key priority for L'Oréal Canada, along with its already existing engagements in terms of diversity and ethics, the company stated.

The L'Oréal Group, on a worldwide level, has recently launched a program called "Sharing Beauty With All", confirming its sustainability commitment for 2020. These commitments are the result of two years of exchanges with various stakeholders throughout the world. L'Oréal is thus committed to improve its practices throughout its value chain, from research to production, while sharing its growth with the communities that surround it. Petrolito's mandate includes the implementation of "Sharing Beauty With All" on a local level within the Canadian CSR program.
