Mission Pharmacal launches CitraNatal Harmony

SAN ANTONIO Mission Pharmacal has launched a prescription prenatal vitamin that it said may provide women with more comfort during pregnancy.

The drug maker announced Monday the launch of CitraNatal Harmony, part of its CitraNatal prenatal vitamin line. The vitamins include calcium citrate, which is designed to aid the baby’s bone growth without giving the mother gas or bloating, a side effect that often occurs with calcium supplements.

“Many women suffer from discomfort during their pregnancies,” Mission Pharmacal pharmaceutical division president Terrell Herring said. “We are pleased to provide these women added comfort and convenience with the launch of CitraNatal Harmony.”
