Mylan launches generic extended-release Ultram

PITTSBURGH — Mylan on Tuesday announced the launch of its generic of Ultram (tramadol hydrochloride) extended-release tablets in the United States. The drug is indicated to treat moderate to moderately sever chronic pain who require constant treatment for extended time periods. 


 


Mylan’s generic will be available in 100-, 200- and 300-mg dosage strength. The drug had annual U.S. sales of about $52.8 million for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2015, according to IMS Health.
