NeuroMetrix launches new version of Quell Wearable Pain Relief

3/2/2016

WALTHAM, Mass. — Neurometrix has started shipping a new version of its Quell Wearable Pain Relief technology. The device now has 25% more battery life and is more integrated with the Quell Relief smartphone app, allowing users to manage their pain and see insights about their sleep patterns.

"One of the most common requests of Quell users was to be able to discreetly manage therapy from their smartphone," NeuroMetrix president and CEO Dr. Shai Gozani said. “We are delighted to empower Quell users to regain even more control and insight into their pain management regimen through continued innovation including smartphone control and advanced sleep tracking. Quell continues to make a meaningful difference for people with chronic pain.”

Quell tracks eight different sleep metrics, including quality, duration, time out of bed, body position and repetitive leg movements. The new version also lets users see historical trends in various time increments. The company said it expects to announce details of an upgrade program for patients who have a Quell in April.
