New Q-Care in-store clinic opens in Maryland ShopRite

10/13/2014

BALTIMORE, Md. — The new ShopRite of Howard Park celebrated on Oct. 11 the grand opening of Q-Care health clinic, a first of its kind in Maryland for a Federally-Qualified Health Center.

The Q-Care health clinic is managed by Park West Health Care System in partnership with nonprofit UpLift Solutions.

In Q-Care clinics, family nurse practitioners provide services for common ailments and look to connect patients, both adults and children, to primary care physicians in their network.

“Our goal is to help all people access quality health care. When patients enter our in-store Q-Care clinics without health insurance or the means to pay for health care services, there is often a benefit bank office available that offers electronic assistance to apply for medicaid, medicare, SNAP and additional benefits. The benefit bank assists individuals in applying for public benefits so that everyone can receive the health care options they need to live a healthy life,” UpLift Solutions states on its website.
