KEARNEY, Neb. — A Quick Care Clinic opened its doors inside a Hy-Vee earlier this month, according to a local report.

The clinic, which opened June 9, marks the first retail-based clinic in the city, the Kearney Hub reported.

According to the report, Good Samaritan Hospital rents the 500-sq.-ft. space, but has turned the day-to-day operations over to the Kearney Clinic.

According to a statement on the Kearney Clinic website, “No appointment necessary, Walk up, Sign in and be seen!! The Quick Care clinic is located near the HyVee Pharmacy. The Quick Care Clinic provides care for simple medical needs: including Colds, sore throat, Flu symptoms, ear aches, and other minor illnesses. They also provide pregnancy testing. Patients must be 2 years of age or older.”

Hy-Vee has clinics in 18 of its 237 supermarkets in eight states and expects to have clinics in 100 stores by the end of 2015, Tara Deering-Hansen, Hy-Vee director of corporate communications in West Des Moines, Iowa, was quoted as saying.
